SeekingArrangement, a US dating platform, and its Singapore affiliate won a $4M trademark case against Malaysia’s SugarBook in a US court. The court found that SugarBook’s sites were clearly doing business in the US by targeting American users, taking payments in dollars, hosting servers there, and featuring US content. Since SugarBook is based in Malaysia, the plaintiffs asked the Malaysian High Court to enforce the US ruling.
