Nutella + ice cream = perfect pleasure? We tried Nutella ice cream, which became viral, and we discovered if it really is worth 10 euros or it is only a well -packaged frame.
Although Nutella has instilled us with feelings of comfort, warmth and pleasant dependence since childhood, and his new frozen version has created a real mini feeling about Tic toc and Instagram. The ice cream with the Nutella logo is said to be the new Holy Grail for the most greedy gourmets. It seems that Nutella ice cream will be successful this summer. But is it really the case? We tried and this is our summer truth, without filters and with a pinch of (frozen) irony.
Packs ready to be exposed (and for selfies)
First impression? The package looks like an intersection between a line of Ferrari cosmetics and gourmet luxury. Cardboard cover, under the silver foil with the word “wait 10 min”. We are really so polite that even ice cream requires patience on our part! But that’s okay, if Nutella says it, we will listen to it.
Cream, chocolate, still cream and … boom!
When the container opens, you are invested by the scent of true cocoa and hazelnuts. No artificial substitute “Nutella” type, but the real thing. Structure? Cremous like the French custard, with Pura Nutella curls that melt in their mouth like a poem. Gelato is made up of two layers: a slightly crunchy nutella base on the upper part and a base of soft and dense milk on the bottom. A sinful good.

Taste: sweet, rich, almost too much
But on this point our editorial staff is a bit divided on opinions. Some swore that it was almost a sin in the pot, while others thought they added a touch of bitterness by contrast. But what is the common denominator? Quality. This is not the “soft ice cream” of the automatic distributor in front of the Mercator. This is Nutella, which has become the goddess of Italian pastry.
Price: AHIA!
And now, the question we all ask ourselves when we get to the cashier: 6 euros for 230 g of ice cream are really too many? Answer: It depends. If you are a Nutella fanatic and you want something special for a Sunday afternoon or an appointment on Tinder, then yes, try it. But as a weekly pampering ritual? I would prefer no. The portion is sufficient for 2-3 moments of sweetness, if you are not the right mood to “eat all the ice cream after a break”.
Conclusion: a hedonistic experience, with a reserve
Nutella ice cream is, without a shadow of a doubt, a first -rate sweet product. It is not only “Instagram Friendly”, but also has a value in terms of content: flavor, consistency and that touch of nostalgia that brings us back to childhood, only this time with an adult price and a sophisticated approach. Will we still buy it? Yes, but if we have already booked a holiday on the Amalfi coast and we want a dessert, we can publish it with #treatyourself.
