In a world where beauty is often found in plastic bottles with ingredients that we do not know how to pronounce, more and more people are returning to the origins. Natural, simple, effective. First step? True cleanliness, without aggressive chemicals and empty promises.
The skin is our largest organ. It is therefore not surprising that we pay more and more attention not only to what we wear, but also to what we wear. NO. For decades, the beauty industry has sold us the idea we need whole products of products For a clean and bright face: micellar waters, oils, foams, conditioner … and then something else to clean what we used to clean. Double cleaning – A trend that you can also make with homemade products!
But what would happen if there was a simpler, more intelligent and more natural way to make a double cleansing?
A natural double cleansing approach
The concept of double cleansing is not new: it derives from the tradition of Korean beauty and includes two steps: first oil detergent, then water. The novelty, however, is our attitude towards the ingredients. In recent years we have witnessed a growing interest in natural alternativeswho cleanse the skin without irritating it and at the same time respect the microbiota.
And what is the best thing? You probably already have these ingredients in the house. We are not talking about exotic plants of the Amazon forest, but of coconut oil, oats, rice and aromatic herbs from home cuisine.

1. Homemade cleansing balm: nourishing care in its purest form
Let’s start with the double cleaning method. Balsles are excellent for those with sensitive or dry skin. The homemade version contains only four ingredients, but it works like the most luxurious cosmetics found on the shelves of perfumeries.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (not refined)
- 1 tablespoon of shea butter
- 1/2 tablespoon of almond oil
- A few drops of lavender essential oil (optional)
Processes:
Dissolve the ingredients in a water bath, pour into a glass jar and let it solidify. Evening use: apply on dry skin, massage and remove with a warm and humid cloth.
The result? Nourished, soft and traces of make -up: no burning, no redness.

If you are a lover of oils, but industrial products often obstruct the pores, try a simple homemade mixture. No additives, no fragrance, only pure functionality.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil
- 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil (cold squeezed)
- 1/2 teaspoon of castor oil
Jojoba oil has a composition very similar to the natural sebum of the skin and therefore regulates sebum secretion. Ricino oil works almost like a magnet: it attracts impurities from the pores. Use the evening as a first step, then proceed with a delicate cleansing gel or a natural soap. The base for double cleansing.

3. Natural micellar water with green tea
Micellar water, as we know it in the pharmacy, is not always the best choice for sensitive skin. The homemade version, based on green tea, is delicate, anti -inflammatory and incredibly refreshing.
Ingredients:
- 100 ml of strong and cold green tea
- 1 teaspoon of aloe vera
- A few drops of chamomile essential oil or lavender
Use on a cotton disk or cloth, morning or evening. It is not necessary to rinse: tea will soothe the skin and the aloe will hydrate it.
How to integrate them into your routine?
Double cleansing with natural ingredients is simple:
- First the part of the oil – A conditioner or oil that removes makeup, sun protection and pollution.
- Then the part of the water – You can use a delicate soap of goat milk, a natural gel or even a slight mixture of honey and oats.
The entire procedure lasts less than five minutes, but the effect is visible already after a few days: the skin becomes more uniform, less reactive and naturally bright.
Make your bathroom less similar to a pharmacy and more similar to a pharmacy
There is something almost poetic in cleaning the face with the same products that we used to prepare lunch. This simplicity, the honesty of the ingredients and the absence of unnecessary chemicals establish a more authentic relationship with our skin. Your way to double cleansing.
And perhaps this is what has most precious in a beauty routine: a moment for itself, without frills, without excess. Only you, the water, the oil and the feeling of doing something good, for yourself and for the world around you.
