The roads along the provincial road 439 between Saliceto and Cengio remains difficult. An emergency due to the damage caused by the bad weather of last November which created many inconvenience to the circulation and economy of the area. The landslide involved the shoe downstream, the roadtop and hailed half the roadway and the bitumed surface, forcing the province of Cuneo to adjust the alternating one -way traffic, with a load limitation to ward off the dangers to road users. In order to define the characteristics of the subsoil, the state of potential evolution of the landslide and, above all, to obtain the data necessary to design a suitable restoration intervention as soon as possible, the viability sector has carried out, through its geologists, two continuous geognostic polls. The preliminary results of these perforations have already come after only 24 days from the instability. The designs and preliminary studies are now underway to identify the most suitable technical solution for the restoration of full road functionality and a correct quantification of costs, in order to be able to solve the problem as long as possible.
