Prestigious marriage for the “at first aid school” project, aimed at disseminating life -saving maneuvers among the students of the first degree secondary schools of the Cuneo area. In the past few hours, the appreciated didactic proposal has been embraced by the 118 system of the province of Cuneo: a splendid result of a series of challenges between Dr. Luigi Silimbri, director of the complex structure territorial health emergency 118 of Granda, Dr. Simona Enrica Garrone, management coordinator of the SC est 118 of the province of Cuneo, and the provincial referent of the initiative.

A entrance that, undoubtedly, represents great reason for pride for the organizing committee of the rescue Open Day, as well as embodies the natural evolution of the project within its growth path; In fact, the 118 system is, pursuant to Law 107/2015, the institution in charge of the supervision and organization of training initiatives inherent in the spread of first aid in schools of all levels.

The integration procedure will take place gradually and with the total sharing of what is created in the past: the target audience for 2020 will still be that of the pupils of the middle school, but already starting from the 2021 edition, news and extensions could be recorded from this point of view.

“The territorial health emergency system 118 has followed since 2015, the year of approval of law 107, the project for teaching first aid maneuvers in schools and awareness of the school population to the culture of emergency/urgency – explains Dr. Silimbri –. In 2017, when the implementation decree of 107 was approved, the Italian Systems company 118 decided, on an experimental basis, to implement the teaching of first aid in schools of five Italian regions. Unfortunately, Piedmont was not among these. Only in 2019, after the experimentation, the territorial health emergency system 118, in particular the east 118 of the Province of Cuneo, has chosen to actively participate, coordinating and controlling the implementation of the law, according to the role and functions provided for by the 107, integrating and completing the egregious previous work done by the various associations “.

Words that echo those of Dr. Garrone echo: “I will never tire, personally, to underline the importance of synergy and communion of intent between the forces daily engaged in emergency rescue”.

A concept that follows exactly the spirit that permeates “at first aid school”, which, at the moment, confirmed its participation about fifteen voluntary associations active in the context of public assistance. The deadline for sending the memberships by the associations still involved coincides with Wednesday 8 January 2020, when the date of the press conference for the presentation of the project will be made known.
