Summer is the period of the year in which you want to live as in a postcard: open windows, scent of flowers, evenings on the balcony with a good book or a glass of wine. But reality? Mosquitoes, flies and those tiny but extremely annoying insects that decide that you are the best target of the whole square. And although we have an arsenal of vehicles, from electric torture tools to spray bombs, we often find ourselves in front of a dilemma: should we rather undergo the stings or the chemical smell that recalls a 1987 pharmacy? There is no way! Use the lemons!

But what would happen if there was such a simple trick as to shave laziness, but so natural that even the most inexperienced among us would adopt it? Yes, they are lemons. Forget the aggressive spray: lemons are the mosquito solution

Summer is upon us: brings the sun, picnics and (of course) the invasion of winged insects. If we earned a euro for each mosquito that buzzes around us, we could allow us a holiday in Bali. We haven’t opened the windows yet!

But don’t worry. We have such a simple trick that you could almost think that it is a joke of the grandmothers of the 80s. Well, it doesn’t work. It is a well -known home recipe (and surprisingly effective): baked lemons.

How does this citrus miracle work?

  1. Take 2 lemons (they should be well mature, because if what matters is aesthetics and efficiency, why not both?).
  2. Cut them in half.
  3. Preheat the oven to 100 ° C, Then arrange the lemons on a grill or a pan.
  4. Turn off the oven and leave the door open. And … that’s all! Now you just have to wait for essential oils to make their natural magic.

The smell of lemon is pleasant to human smell: fresh, citrus, almost like the advertising of a cleaning product. And what about mosquitoes and flies? A nightmare with vitamin C.
