Asti – 150 Civil Protection volunteers who received the certificate of attendance at the course, organized by the Province, by the Asti/Alessandria Volunteer Services Center, from the municipal groups and associations in the area. The delivery ceremony took place yesterday in the council hall of Piazza Alfieri.
“Special thanks to the voluntary service center and teachers – says President Maurizio Rasero- To each of the students for the interest and commitment shown to the world of Civil Protection that counts on your collaboration to overcome the critical moments of increasingly frequent natural disasters. From today you are the operational arm of the Province and the Municipalities “.
The course took place between December and February. The lessons have touched general aspects with insights on some topics: from the general concepts we moved on to the importance of the coordination of communications, then the theme of logistics, notions on the main risks of the territory, the directives on safety, the procedures and behaviors to be adopted in the critical phases, psychology in the emergency.
“The mayors, first responsible for security, need the support of volunteers – continues Rasero- Only together can we do it, let’s take care of our territory in monitoring risks and emergency situations that periodically occur. Only a few days ago there were numerous landslides and the collapses of road network stretches, on which the offices and staff of the province are dealing to restore vehicular transit.
The managing director, Davide Massaglia touches the theme of training: “Among the prevention activities of the Civil Protection System, it certainly occupies a prominent place; it is a tool that helps to grow homogeneously and coordinated.
