Activate for 10 years, the top rescue team saw the volunteers employed on the weekends and during the entire period of the Christmas holidays
The team consists of 18 volunteers, some of whom from the whole province and region, qualified and in compliance with sports medical examinations, has been operating for over 10 years in the ski resort of the Nevoso Prato area, actively contributing to the rescue of the injured, ski and snowboard enthusiasts practiced on the slopes.
During the current season, the service, already resumed on 23 November last, saw the teams active on weekends and during the entire period of the Christmas holidays.
So far 46 operators have been employed and a total of 35 rescues carried out, some of which through the support of the health emergency through the air vehicle of the bases of Levaldigi, Turin and Alessandria, which guaranteed the evacuation, in a short time of the most critical injuries. This is a first balance of this beginning of the season.
