The book entitled “Cogging a new world. Journey among women of the seventies”It is a collection of photographs of the seventies, taken by Paola Agosti, that accompanied by the writing of Benedetta Tobagi It tells what is defined as the only successful revolution of the twentieth century and that is that of women.
At the beginning of the decade, Italy is a varied country as well as the feminist movement. Despite the differences and facets, the main battles are faced together and we remember among the great struggles of the decade, that for the right to abortion. Through the book “Cogging a new world. Journey among women of the seventies“And therefore through images and words, Tobagi describes the energy and creativity of the feminist movement of the seventies, a period of struggles and conquests that has left a precious legacy and continues to be a source of inspiration.

Benedetta Tobagi
Historical and writer who made the memory The guiding thread of his life and his work. Born in Milan in 1977, a graduate in philosophy and research doctor in history at the University of Bristol, she crossed the world of publishing and audiovisual, collaborating for a long time with Rai and the newspaper the Republic.
The daughter of the journalist Walter Tobagi, killed in 1980, chose to transform a personal experience into civil commitment and research, dedicating himself with depth to the history of terrorism, resistance and Italian civil movements. Among his best known books: How your heart beats me strong, A star crowned with darkness, Piazza Fontana. The impossible process e The resistance of womenwith which he won the Campiello Prize in 2023.
In 2024 she returned to the bookstore with Co -boiling a new worlda journey through the women of the seventies created together with the photographer Paola Agosti. A work that combines historical narrative and visual testimony, bringing to light the transformative force of a generation.
