In 1899 he was still driven with a mustache and cylinder. Now … Škoda returns to the future of two wheels with the ŠKODA Slavia B electric café racer, which smells more of art than of petrol. But wait, that’s not all.

Long -date friends and digital dreamers, get ready. Too bad, that kind lady from Mladá Boleslavhe rummaged in the family album and re -examined Škoda Slavia b – the engine with which they are Laurin and Klement At the end of the nineteenth century, he broke the hearts of street people elegance and, probably, also of some young ladies.

Now – Boom! We are in 2025. A Frenchman named Romain Bucaille, who usually deals with smoothing the edges of the Skoda body shops, has had a moment of imagination and has designed something that seems a cross between a sculpture and a motorcycle. An electrical concept that is not ashamed of its roots. On the contrary, he puts them on a pedestal and illuminates them with a neon light.

Ghosts of the carbon fiber past

The Slavia B concept does not want to be just another motorcycle in the range. No, this is a design manifesto. The central part, where the engine was once buzzed with all its 1.25 horsepower, is now a void: a Zen sanctuary in which the “Laurin & Kplement” logo floats. Brilliant. Minimalist. Almost meditative.

The motorcycle has a “vertical cut”, or the line that divides the machine into the front “now” and in the rear “then”. A rear seat that floats above the rear wheel as a stuntman without safety net and a bag that can be seen only in western films complete this two -wheeled song.

Technical specifications: Zen and artificial mystery

How many horses? We don’t know. How many kilometers with a charge? ShH … secret. Capacity? Art does not need numbers. What we know is that Slavia B is not here to overcome the Tesla or compete with the Ducati. No, Slavia is here to stop you. To take a look. Raise an eyebrow and say: “Too bad, what are you doing?”

Conclusion: Too bad you cannot buy

If Laurin and Kley resurrect today, they would probably ask: “Where can I buy it?” But unfortunately the answer is: nowhere. For now. The Škoda Slavia B is a concept. Maybe he will remain only a postcard from parallel sizewhere the engines are quieter than thoughts and where industrial design parades on the catwalk.

But this is still a history of audacity. It tells of how a brand known for Octavia and Superb can turn into something that could easily be exhibited in a Museum of Modern Art. Or it passed by while you were still asking yourself if it was really a motorcycle. Or a vision.
